I once remember seeing a streamed plea for financial assistance from the staff of Bitch Magazine. I figured that if they needed to trim the fat from their expenses, maybe they could've cut-back a bit on trips to the tattoo and piercing parlors.

As suggested elsewhere, EverydayFail is not much more than a blog that does for Feminism what [your local tabloid scandal sheet] does in [your neck of the woods], and much of its "product" comes from bloggers and freelancers. How much can it cost to run that? (Answer: not very much at all).

Sounds to me as if those who set the site up have realised they're not making the fast buck they thought they would (at the expense of both men and women) and are now passing the hat round. I trust common sense will prevail and Everyday Flannelling sinks without trace.

Outlets like Everyday Feminism have a difficult time existing alone because they are propaganda machines. It is their job to distill extremism into easy to swallow pills. I'm surprised that they aren't being funded as mouthpieces for larger organizations.

That being said I hope they enjoy being subject to the free market just like men.
