In the spirit of the Emilie post that has made /r/all, has there ever been a time where anyone made an effort to protect you from the verbal/physical abuse of a woman?

This post on 2x is actually quite heartwarming and it's great to see others step up to help women that might be in distress.

However, amongst the dozens of stories of people helping women, it was painfully obvious that there were no stories of women intervening when a man was being yelled at/physically assaulted by a woman.

In fairness, have any of you had a bystander come to your aid when you needed it?
