How fake news is created glorifying women. A female government officer was rescued by male police officers and photos reveal it too. But paid media glorifies the lady while berating the ones who saved her.

A 17 year kid found out about bias against men during an event at school called “16 days of activism”. He realized the extent of the problems and lack of laws to counter them. He was so surprised that he created petition for politicians to Amend Section 375, 376 and the DV Act to Gender Neutral.

I wrote this somewhere else earlier, re-posting it since relevant:

India is a very patriarchal country. Gender roles and stereotypes are strongly emphasized. But that doesn't mean men have it easy. It is legal for a woman to sexually harass, assault, rape men. Indian legal definition of rape includes having premarital sex and then not marrying her(unfortunately marital rape of both men and women is not criminalized). The law was amended in 2013 using gender neutral language, giving male victims some legal recourse. But in 2014, feminists urged politicians and legal authorities to make rape gender-specific that is male-on-female. Despite India having bad reputation globally and among Indians of sexual safety, it has one of the lowest rape rates in the world, even adjusting for under-reporting. This is because sex is taboo in India and sex-crimes are taboo-squared. 94% of Indians don't have sex before marriage, and married couples have sex only a handful times a year. Around 60-75%(depending on city) rape cases are proved false(not 'not guilty' verdict but 'malicious accusation'), these are almost always cases of eloping(consensual, parents file for rape), pressurizing to marry, etc. This is even sadder for boys. Any sexual activity [minor]boys have with girls(consensual) or women(statutory rape - women cant be charged for rape ever) is defaulted as rape by the boy - is only modified as the investigation goes on.

Wait.... how did the country that is responsible for the Kama Sutra end up with sex being taboo?!?!?!

Multiple Islamic invasions and Victorian Britain fucked with their heads. My parents never mentioned the word 'sex' in 22 years of my life so far. Our health minister wants to cut down on condom and HIV AIDS awareness programs and instead teach people to be faithful to their spouse!

Ok, so yeah, I hate to say it, but India needs to fully join the modern world..... between this and the whole poo in the loo song, I'm envisioning rural India as some strange variation of rednecks hillbillies, and the cities being like a super densely packed 1700s london, with computers and electricity.....

Didn't you saw the video of indian womans abuse of this system to not pay in taxis?

Want free stuff? Just say you will tell police that x man raped you if x not give you the service for free.

17 year old girl has a baby from a 12 year old boy and they take the boy in to custody but the girl doesn't even report to the station. What the actual fuck? So because he's a boy he must have raped her? How young until that isn't a thing? If he were 7 and she was 17 would they maybe see it as the girl raping him? Or would they just do nothing? Crazy how far we still have to go.

It's interesting how they say

if she was over 18, she would have been booked for sexually abusing the 12-year-old under the Juvenile Justice Act. "The court will decide if the 17-year-old girl abused the 12-year-old boy," says Memon.

They try to make it sound like they're being fair by saying the case can't automatically reach a conclusion since they're both minors, but none of that explains why they booked the boy in the first place

They're going to say they can't book the girl, despite her being so much older than him, because she wasn't 18+. Yet they had no issues filing a case against the boy by default, despite his being 12-years-old

Clearly, they're not treating this fairly or reasonably at all. The fact that they booked the boy in this case leads me to think if it were a 17-year-old boy and a 12-year-old girl, they'd have no problem automatically determining that the boy abused her despite his being a minor

'Try 16-yr-old girls as adults in sex abuse cases'

I would have made it gender neutral, something like: 'Remove gender privilege in sex abuse cases'

I think there is some very worrying wording in there - "DNA tests showed that the boy and the baby were related..." "...the girl did not report the incident to the police as she is related to the boy..." Makes it sound like the boy is not even the father, anyone else seeing this?

Like I said, Its been about harming men for sexual behavior since the 1850's. Suffragettes even said they want to control men's sexual behavior.

If you think being branded a rapist and called a pedophile for your life is not wrong, obviously lets DO THIS!

However, you watch when men DEMAND the law is equally applied among genders. Watch how quickly it dissolves because it might hurt a 'female'.

I don't know if it will work, but this is a good lever.
