I think he may be referring to a lawsuit against the California network of women's shelters, launched by Marc Angelucci (who was also featured in TRP). In the film, he describes his search for shelter services for his friend. When he discovered all the shelters and services were for female victims, he sued.

If I recall, when the feminists running the shelters suggested that they couldn't accommodate men due to safety reasons (it would be dangerous and traumatic to have men in the shelters with abused women and children, which is bullshitty, but sort of defensible), he offered to compromise--give abused men hotel vouchers and provide other services offsite.

Nope. They absolutely would not bend. They fought it all the way to a verdict, using a team of pro-bono lawyers while claiming to the press that this horrible man was forcing them to waste money that could go to battered women on a frivolous legal battle (frivolous because everyone knows men aren't abused).

If I recall correctly, Angelucci sued under equal protection legislation (Unruh?), which would have forced the shelters to either accept male victims or be deemed to be illegally discriminating, which would not just deprive them of state funding, but require them to shut down.

And of course, they promoted the idea that Angelucci was primarily interested in shutting down the shelters. After all, he used legislation that would have not only defunded, but would force the shelters to close if they didn't comply with Unruh. And since everyone knows there ARE no male victims of DV, what goal could he have possibly had to launch the lawsuit, other than forcing the shelters to close their doors?

As with most things feminist, there's enough of a ghost of truth in the narrative to spin it into something that seems substantive.

The majority of the feminist movement believes that any attention towards an issue that is not in their interest will immediately have a negative effect on them. Their thought process is "If you care about men, then you must be against women and not care about them" rather then just care about both. Men don't want women not to have shelters. They just want the need for men's shelters to exist.

Dr. Kimmel and Katherine Spillar's arguments in this movie and lack of compassion actually makes them come across as monsters....

It's just another in the long list of bullshit assertions and smears that these people make against their political opponents or really in the case of all of us anybody who happens to disagree with them.

He has no fucking proof, none of these people do, but this shows you exactly what I think feminism is really about and I think it's about getting government resources for themselves. All professional activism, media, politics, it all goes through people like them.

I think this is why feminists are freaking out so much about the movie generally because it shows them up for what they really are. A pity she didn't do more digging into just how they get their money for all the stuff they do and look at gender studies courses and so on but I suppose then she would be accused of being 'biased' since there would be only so much the feminists could take before throwing even bigger fits.

In short, it's a lie, and an outrageous one, to boot (btw: no citation necessary, he bears the burden of proof).

Kimmel has made his career out of smearing men and men's rights, so such claims coming out of his mouth should not come as any surprise whatsoever.

Well, it's really for him to prove it. I have never in my 4 years of involvement in men's rights heard a single person say or write such a thing.

I think his body-language during that part of the video is incredibly telling: it's pretty clear to me he knows he's lying. I'm glad he said it, frankly, since it showed just how full of it he is.

MRAs typically object to there being virtually no shelters for men.

It's like claiming feminists object to there being male CEOs because they complain about there not being enough female CEOs. Though I guess there's a fair few feminists who think capitalism is evil. And there's a finite number of CEO positions, so maybe feminists really do want to reduce the number of male CEOs. So maybe this isn't a great comparison.

And this isn't just bad for men, it's also bad for women. If a man can't leave a violent relationship, there's a chance he'll eventually snap and hit back. And in bilaterally abusive relationships (which the majority of abusive relationships are), it doesn't matter which partner leaves, as long as they're separated.

NO! It's just a fantasy that Kimmel and his friends have to make them feelz clever! It just shows how irrational male feminuts like Kimmel can be.

The Red Pill is Hasbeen Kimmel's Swan Song as he hoists himself on his own Petard and does it with so little style as well!
