i think there were a few here who had the right idea on this, press them about Misandry and point out if they care so much about 'hate crime' and an equal society then they should target people displaying Misandry as well.

Then just sit back and watch the feminists lose their shit and screech at the top of their lungs. By the way, this does have me hugely concerned as a games developer. My game Glory to the patriarchy is definitely going to get labelled as 'Misogyny' because it attacks the feminist narrative and as we know, any deviation from the feminist ideology is Misogyny in their eyes. I honestly think I could go to court or jail for making it so I'm wondering if it's even worth living in the UK anymore even after Brexit, definitely veering towards no.

I think we need to keep an eye on this sort of thing as it's an attempt by feminists to expand their political reach and make the police do their bidding.

...so hate against one gender is a "hate crime" but hate against the other gender isn't. I'm waiting for the day men will wake the F up and start protesting against these man hating acts. Or keep saying "men don't protest because it's not manly" while your rights are taken away.

To paraphrase a famous quote: those who sacrifice freedom for security deserve neither.

To provide another, this is from Ernest Bax, 1890: "the bravest and strongest man is as weak as a child against the overwhelming force of the state...any woman can at will summon to her a power no man can resist... the whole power of the courts and the community, backed up by the press and public opinion."

It's just another example of statism. Everyone who votes for progressivism (anti-liberal technocracy) votes for this, eg, the complete erosion of social power in favour of more state power.

If they aren't making charitable contributions on our behalf, monitoring all our communications or what we are or are not allowed to put in our bodies, they're legislating what we are and are not allowed to say (a bit like social conservatives of the 60s), determining who can and cannot apply for jobs and how we should associate with others.

The greatest threat to freedom has always been the state, however the modern progressive, who treats the state like a surrogate husband, would have you believe it's the guarantor of freedom. The state has always been used as a force to be leveraged against liberty, and the era of global government will be, by far, its worst manifestation.

The justification is always 'safety' for an identity, or rather the exploitation of identity as a proxy for class warfare - it's the epitome of demoralisation (which is all the progressive ever attempts to do: shame and guilt-trip people into compliance). Racism, sexism, homophobia and xenophobia aren't manifestations progressivism opposes but fault lines to divide society.

Where there's conflict, there's political capital, however his or her opposition to racism will stop at the border of white victims or non-white perpetrators, his or her opposition to homophobia will stop at the border of a communist homophobic tyrant, his or her opposition to sexism will stop at the border of female perpetrators or male victims, his or her advocacy of women's rights will stop at the border of Islam and his or her opposition to xenophobia will stop at the border of hating western nation-states.

They don't oppose any of this, largely because progressives never oppose anything which isn't aligned to their political objectives or oriented around treating all of humanity as a means to an end rather than an end in itself. Their policies on, for example, diversity are policies which are fundamentally outside the remit of any 'liberal' state and merely show their true nature:

It was the state, not the people, which instituted slavery.
It was progressives, in the 1920s, and living up to their track record of exploiting identity as a proxy for class warfare, who instigated eugenics and advocated 'liberal fascism.' It was the progressives who deemed non-white people 'uneducated', 'imbecilic' and 'unfit', and then sterilised them (these policies were the blueprint for National Socialism's policies on eugenics in the 1930s).

It is the progressives who employ the same strategy today (eugenics), except the target of their ire has changed: it's now 'white men' (another intangible collective, a bit like 'the Jews') who are deemed 'genetically inferior' - owed to their predisposition to warfare and 'innate privilege' - and thus in need of 'diversification.'

The galling part is these people believe they are liberal, they aren't - progressivism (the ideology they actually subscribe to, eg, statism and collectivism) has always opposed classical liberalism (limited governance and individualism), and it, like Marxism, has always been obsessed with identity (which is where feminism springs from, particularly in its characterisation of men as the 'new bourgeoisie') and internationalism.

Well, if they want to call it a hate crime, fine, why not? I mean, if you really believe that some people are more valuable than others then it follows that you institute laws like these.

That said, I'd like to see some definitions of what criminal misogyny is. Is it whistling at a pretty girl? Yeah, I guess it could be construed as harassment (I'd even agree that it is) but there's always the chance that she likes being whistled at. Would "mansplaining" be a hate crime? What if a woman did it? In fact, why do feminists call it mansplaining considering women do it just as often? What exactly are the parameters here?

Answer that and prove that it won't just turn into a feminist witch hunt and sure...I'll buy in. I don't want to buy in but so long as we're criminalizing everything else, go for it.

I wonder how they are going to go when they realise that at least 50% of the hateful messages sent to women, are sent by women? We'll see feminists being charged with the new misogyny offences. That should be interesting.
