This is true. Take the movie Magic Mike (I think there was even a sequel??). Could you imagine the uproar had the genders been reversed?

The reason why is because women feel as though their being exploited for their bodies. Now obviously this isn't true and it's hugely hypocritical but that's how they view it, it probably stems from insecurities regarding their worth, appearance, etc.

The double-standard is a problem, but don't fall for their trap in pretending that worshiping a person's body is degrading it. That person is in a position of power.

They may respond, "We wish you admired us for our minds." OK, maybe it would be better to be revered because you're Einstein, but that's an irrelevant comparison point. More pertinent is to compare it against not being cared for at all.

Err they generaly aren't. I mean you might get your taste in music questioned but men talking about hot women is pretty standard. Context though. This isn't something you talk about with your mom.

My mom calls me a jerk because I said Beyoncé's good looking, but she's married and she goes on about "the Rock" Johnson, and calling buff guys "steak-ums".

Her being married is an issue for her husband not you. Different couples have different boundaries and they are none of your business.

I feel like there's major double standards.

I feel like she doesn't want to talk about the detail of her son's sexuality (and most mothers don't) and this is her way of dealing with it. If you want to talk about Beyoncé go to the relevant sub-reddit or talk to people your own age.

well, I do not suggest watchign the Ellen Degeneres show...you will be marinated in double standards.

I love Ellen, she seems like a genuinely good person and her show is reasonably entertaining...but she manages to get every hunk male guest on the show at least topless for all the audience hens to hoot at between sips from their purse flask.
