Hello /r/MensRights. I'm badon and I finally feel safe enough to say what's on my mind. I just deleted something I wrote that I wanted to post, so this isn't over yet, but it's nice to see progress, and show my support! I wasn't sure this movement would gain strength so quickly within my lifetime!

Title	Hello /r/MensRights. I'm badon and I finally feel safe enough to say what's on my mind. Right, so women have less of a tendency to vote for the Nazis than men. I guess that means that men having the vote is a bad thing. Right? Of course, saying this is ridiculous, just as your comment is ridiculous.

You can make all of these arguments about government spending, but government spending isn't necessarily a bad thing. Different people have different values and interests. A rich person likely doesn't value free health care as much as a poor person, for instance. This is why, and especially coming from my Classical Liberal position, people should be able to vote for their own representatives based on their own judgments. In terms of men voting for women as the family, a man cannot possibly consider everything for her values and interests that a woman would consider for herself, and he especially can't then take his best guess and weigh that against his own ideas with fairness and credibility. The male representative of the family is doomed to fail, and that's to not even get into the unmarried.

In terms of elected representatives voting for the common man, an elected representative cannot possibly consider everything for their values and interests that the common man would consider for himself. Delegated responsibility.

It's almost as if I understood the point you were making from the beginning and simply disagree with you on what you think. Weird.

Yes, which is why we vote for representatives instead of voting on issues in direct democracy sort of way. It's also why we have a Constitution that is not amended unless we have a Super-majority, and there are also safeguards built in such as the filibuster. This is also why we have a balance of powers in the different branches of government.

Yes, but each person gets to vote for the representative they feel would be best for them. That's much different than a husband voting for a wife's representative, especially when a husband has to combine that with weighting his own interests, because the husband's and wife's interests can often be in conflict. And who represents a single woman? A single man obviously would still represent himself, right? That seems unfair.

This is exactly what every elected representative ever has done.

A husband is not the equivalent of an elected representative, just as a wife is not the equivalent of an elected representative.

I agree that both genders are equally capable of being evil. They both operate differently, though, and it's usually easier to identify direct action of men, compared to subtle influence of women. I think around 10 or 20 people were killed in the Salem witch hunts, but over 400 people pleaded guilty to being supernatural beings. How did this happen? Malicious rumors started by a bunch of gossiping adolescent girls who never directly did anything at all.

Mao Zedong once offered send 10 million Chinese women to the USA. When he explained why he wanted to get rid 10 million women, he said "they have a way of doing things" that cause disasters. In other words, he had no idea how to connect the dots, but he was convinced they played a role. It's interesting that Mao's own role in "disasters" is usually indisputably clear, after the propaganda is stripped away.
