Thousands of dads are left in shock as DIY paternity tests soar. Up to 30,000 tests are being performed every year, says Alphabiolabs. In the UK about 750,000 babies are born every year. Feminists want the test to be illegal without the written consent of the mother.

Mother-of-two, 40, falsely branded a neighbour a sex offender because he 'made too much noise building a guinea pig hutch in his garden'. It seems for many women if they do not get their way they make a false sex allegation knowing a man is not protected by the law.

This sounds like something that could get escalated to the european court of human rights

[–]Seventh_Planet 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link

And better hurry with it, as long as the UK is subjected to the EU court.

[–]Socaddict 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

ECHR is separate from the EU. Even when/if the UK leaves the EU, it would still remain a signatory to the ECHR and therefore bound by its rulings.

Source?

The European Union is preparing to sign the European Convention on Human Rights, creating a common European legal space for over 820 million citizens.

Can't find anything saying they are part of the European Union, so I'll just assume they aren't.

Salutary and much needed. Thanks.

The European court of human rights is not an EU court. It is a separate entity under the council of Europe, not the European Union. The UK has not voted to leave the council of Europe or the jurisdiction of the European court of human rights.

This is a huge human rights violation.

I am absolutely baffled by this case.

Well its not a sex ban. Just a ridiculous order to report sex partner to the police.

But yes this is a terrible clusterfuck. He was found not guilty but then was punished with this order to report sex partners to police.

It effectively is a sex ban, since no woman will have sex with him after undergoing the required procedure.

He gave the example of chatting to a woman and saying: 'There's a nice French restaurant I'd like to take you to, but first the police are just going to come around for a little chat.'

He doesn't just have to report sex partners to the police after the fact; he has to get the police to interview them before even engaging in a "sexual conversation" or kissing.

He was punished more harshly for not being convicted of rape than Jade Hatt was for being convicted of sexually abusing an 11 year old boy. It's absolutely insane.

This takes this takes the idea of a sore loser to a whole new level. The authorities couldn't win through the usual channels, so they are doing this to render him a de facto rapist with their visits to his potential dates. In a sense I hope the courts do label him a sex offender, at least temporarily, then he will have the grounds to sue these sore losers. They most certainly already deserve it.
