Fancying much younger women can be crippling socially. I don't judge it, but it's a guaranteed hard time relationship-wise. Not because society thinks it's weird, but because your average 50-something man isn't going to have much luck chasing nubile 20-somethings. I see the pain every day when I see my best friend's complete inability to find a mate, or any relationship not involving cash payments.

Ultimately whether it's biology, society, or personal preference, why are men who like younger women seen as creeps in the first place, assuming the relationship is consensual and the woman is an adult?

Even for those who argue that it's not biologically-driven: so what? what exactly is the issue with it? So it's just what this guy prefers; why is that a problem anyway? It's still a consensual relationship with an adult

I think the whole "creepy" and "dirty old man" or "loser" insults often used against men who like younger women are just another form of demonizing male sexuality, hence why there's no real parallel for older women who pursue younger men: "cougar" doesn't count as it doesn't have the same negative connotations and is often used positively or glamorously

There's a reason they go for younger women. Women their own age aren't into sex anymore. Most of them quit a little after 50. A 30 year old woman and a 50 year old man are typically fairly closely matched when it comes to libido.

As a young woman, I'm sorry but old men flirting with me are creepy. I know there are lots of women who wants their money... that's also why they have their babies... but I have no girl friend who goes for older men. We are indépendant hard working women. I even go for younger actually. Bf is 22, I'm 27. He's a poor cook but I don't care.

When I had a dating profile, I was very clear about the age: the title and 3 times in the description was "18 to 30". I can get around being 35 and trying, but being 40 or more, even 65? Wtf And these guys were just so insulted. They texted me dissertations on how it's nice to be a sugar baby. They were insulted I wasn't a wore who would have sex for handbags. They were insulted I told them that no, they weren't god gifts to women who didn't look like their age. I always thought they were even older than they were anyway

Teenagers were all over Justin Bieber, one direction, etc. I grew hope crushing on the blonde backstreet boy.

It's not wrong to like younger women. It can be your preference. But seriously, don't dare to touch me. Talk to me, I'll tell you no, but don't touch me. It's the equivalent of the fat feminist woman to you. I shouldn't expect to be touched by anyone, but it's just worst with creepy old men to me.

Do eye contact from afar. Verify there's at least some interest before coming on to me.

Also, you have to be very immature to start a relationship with someone who is like half your age. Haven't you grown since (also applies to women)

I can clearly see why I would have sex with very younger people... but a relationship ?

So in conclusion, you can have preferences, younger people are indeed sexy, but you have to give more room for younger people to be comfortable

I am 38 married with daughters. I am extremely protective of my daughters.

I’m a firefighter and I run a business. I’m athletic and financially successful.

I’m right in the middle here on age and I see both sides. I get hit on a lot because of my profession but I’m also not in the “old man” category quite yet either.

There is nothing wrong with an older guy asking a younger (legal) girl out. (I’m addressing the respectful approachers). If she says no and he moves on, no harm no foul. Honestly, I get asked out a lot by younger girls and they know I’m married. They want the firefighter experience. So you can go suck on that hypocrisy first of all.

Second, absolutely no man on his deathbed is going to be laying there thinking about the random girl who said no at a bar that one time….

Finally, my honest message to younger girls who “don’t like being hit on by older men”, seriously, you have to check your own ego and get over yourself. Every other human besides you and your friends have needs that differ from your own. If you’re not interested, say no thanks, move on with your day, and read some books on social intelligence.
