Bastards! This is such an obvious pretext. They should sue and make a discovery demand for certificates of insurance provided by other groups for other events, and what punitive actions were taken when they weren't obtained. Political discrimination here should be very easy to prove.

The group should contact Eugene Volokh or FIRE (Foundation for Individual Rights in Education) to see if they have a First Amendment case, especially if they're at a public (state) uni.

Minding the Campus and Ashe Schow may also be interested.

UC Irvine will lose this lawsuit, but they will also be able to keep Milo out for the remainder of the year. It's probably worth it to them.

I doubt theses actions are based on anti-gay sentiment. It's probably more an anti-conservative and anti-men's-rights-as-a -political-cause sentiment (which, yes, functionally is anti-male).

Anyway, it's still an atrocious affront to free speech and equal representation on their campus.
