Ontario, Tuesday. Now legal for men to absolve themselves from parental role prior to impregnating a woman by signing a pre-sex waiver. Bill 28 "All Families are Equal Act", passed today, makes this legal as of Jan 1, 2017.

It's like the guy who was taking a selfie of himself next to a Darth Vader cardboard cutout in a mall, and some woman thought he was taking creepshots of her kids and ripped a strip off him, took HIS picture, and then posted it on facebook warning local mothers to beware of the pedophile.

[–]rbrockway 11 points12 points13 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

That happened at the Westfield Knox shopping centre in Victoria, Australia in case anyone wants to read up on it, if they haven't already.

The man did not pursue criminal charges against the woman because "He said he did not want to punish her further." WTF.

[–]jb_trp 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

We live in a world where men are presumed guilty until proven innocent. It's as if society brainwashes everyone to believe women are wonderful, innocent creatures that can do no wrong; while men are all so horrible and dangerous until they prove how useful they are to women.

[–]thatrecognizableface 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

What happened to the days where women's views were seen as frivolous and to be taken with a grain of salt. Men would look at their wives and daughters with a doting smile and tell them that what they just said was silly. I'm not saying that was right but maybe we should not take the opinions of little girls so seriously. Really people. THINK.

[–]unpicked-username 4 points5 points6 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Oh but its not being a creep if the woman takes the picture

[–]wanked_in_space 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It's women like that these girls learned from.

It's sad that every man is just a creep/paedophile in waiting.

[–][deleted] 36 points37 points38 points 10 years ago* (12 children) | Copy Link

Facebook has now pulled the posting, and the girls have been educated about the real-life ramifications of assumptions made online, where there is no way for the victim to defend himself.

Fuck that. Charge these two girls, give them stiff penalties.

[–]jdksn5 8 points9 points10 points 10 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link

They are 12. Maybe inform them that telling their parents is the best course of action not facebook with hunts.

[–][deleted] 10 points11 points12 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

12 and already absolute cunts who creep shame. If people stopped and actually thought as opposed to listen and believe, things like this wouldn't happen. When a woman or even girl uses the word creepy, the conscious mind of the white knight shuts down and goes into fight (absent of flight) mode.

Give them a month in juvie.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Ok don't get me wrong, what they did is really really bad and in no way should they be off the hook easy. But they're 12. They're not even in high school. They're probably thinking "this guy is creepy, let's say he did something to make him seem more creepy. What they said now, that is a product of where they've heard about accusing someone of rape, be it Internet or in person. One thing they have to do is make sure these girls never do it again, another thing they have to do is find the source that told them it might be a good idea, because that might tell others it's ok.

I prefer ops suggestion personally of lots of community service, but that's not up to me.

[–]ShutupPussy 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't try to reason when someone is in mob mode.

[–]Rasalom72 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Except don't they need their parents permission to use facebook? Wouldn't that make their parents responsible for anything they posted online?

[–]Machnow[S] 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link

no, charging them does nothing, as they're juvies, and would result in no jail, just a fine. a hundred hours of community service would be good though, in fact very appropriate.

[–][deleted] 19 points20 points21 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

I have no problem with a fine, either along with community service. Just that somebody needs to teach young girls like this that if you ruin someone's life, you face consequences. Same if they assault/torture a boy.

[–]Machnow[S] 12 points13 points14 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

dude, exactly, you hit the nail on the head...... "Just that somebody needs to teach young girls like this that if you ruin someone's life, you face consequences"......that's the problem, the wrong people are teaching them now. this problem runs deep, way deep and I think it will become a major problem in the next generation or two. unfortunately it's beyond fixing. in generations gone by, we tought young girls...and boys, if you lie to the police, say someone's done something when they haven't...you would be punished...and their parents would punish them when they're young......not so much anymore, and the girls grow up knowing full well there are no consequences.

[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

So what you're saying is girls are never going to learn to respect boys and this culture is going to continue condoning what they do to them.

Yeah, that makes me, someone who's been through abuse like that, so hopeful /s

I'm wasting my time then. Just become a hermit and never have contact with people again if I don't slit my throat in the process.

[–]Vedney -3 points-2 points-1 points 10 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link

That's a bit harsh. These are literal children. They haven't experienced enough of the real world to know how it works.

[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link

They're twelve year olds on the verge of their teens, not five year olds on the verge of kindergarten. It's round about that time they are introduced to responsibility and learning actions have real consequences just like, in spite of what gynocentric feminsit gender studies have you believe, boys are on a regular basis at that age. The parents of these two girls didn't make the call. THEY did it of their own volition because of how they "FELT" this man was acting suspicious. You ruin his life based on that, you get your life ruined in turn with the appropriate penalty should those accusations be found to have no basis. Accusing someone of sexual harassment is serious business.

Or are you only defending them because of their gender?

[–]Flaggermusmannen 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And that will teach them how it works. People usually learn better by practice than theory anyway

[–]thewaif 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

It might seem extreme, but I wouldn't help a drowning child except to yell for someone (most likely a woman) to help them. It's gotten to that point as a middle aged man. I once rode through a park on my bicycle with a load of groceries strapped to the handlebars. A bunch of kids were playing and took off on their bikes as I rode past them. I lived right off the park, and jump the fence to get home instead of riding blocks out of the way to go to the front door. A half hour later cops were at my door saying they got a report that I was chasing kids around the park. Luckily for me the cop had a brain and understood what really happened. I nearly got charged for riding my bike through a freaking park!

[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

I hope Facebook took down their profiles. You have to be 13 to have a Facebook because it's based in the US where it's illegal for those under 13 to share their personal information online. Which includes emails you need to sign up for an account.

[–]jdksn5 7 points8 points9 points 10 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

When I was in high school a lot of girls would gossip that so-and-so male teacher looked down their shirt in class.

Either by some weird statistical anomaly almost every male teacher in my school happened to be a pervert pedophile or teenage girls have over-active imaginations.

[–]Aaod 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

Did it never occur to them to stop wearing low cut shirts?

[–]mochacola -1 points0 points1 point 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Are you victim blaming? Please teach all men to pay no attention to females.

[–]RunawayGrain 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And probably most of the guys in class with them too. It's not an imagination issue, it's a me too thing with trying to fit into a crowd.

[–]mochacola 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

They live in a bubble thinking everyone's every action is about paying attention to them.

Fantasy projections to make themselves feel desirable.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If it was my daughter. I would demand the judge sentence them to something. If he didn't my daughters would have to earn my love back. Cause I would refuse to love someone who would do that.

[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

And people wonder how the Salem witch trials were "allowed" to happen.

[–]Alkomb 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

[–]Aaod 0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Facebook has now pulled the posting, and the girls have been educated about the real-life ramifications of assumptions made online, where there is no way for the victim to defend himself.

So do we need to start posting signs saying to not falsely accuse people?

That article was way too long.
