5 boys falsely accused of rape, girl recants story, no plans to charge girl for anything. But yeah, men never experience the short end of the stick, right?

The story as I know it:

18 year old woman has sex with her father at the playground.
5 boys find them, ~2 of them have consensual sex with her.
Father gets upset, finds police, claims 5 boys raped his daughter at gunpoint and threatened him.
Media outrage ensues, boys arrested.
Woman and father can't keep their stories straight.
Physical evidence including video and photos all show consensual sex.
Woman and father both admit there was no gun.
Woman admits sex was consensual.
Despite this, prosecutors and police keep boys in jail and work frantically with the accusers to make a case and punish the boys.
Women finally declares she won't testify at trial and refuses to cooperate further.
Boys are released.
Prosecutor smears the boys at a press conference as a final "fuck you."
Neither the woman nor her father are considered for prosecution.

That's the story as I read it from multiple leftist sources. I can't help but wonder if they left out some awful facts that don't agree with their politics, but the story is damning enough already. The police, the prosecutors, the woman and her father all deserve hell for this. At least the woman found her conscience before the prosecutors found a way to throw those boys in prison for life.

So "this young woman's father and the five young men engaged in conduct that was reprehensible and wrong" What about the woman herself who apparently consented to the act, and then lies about it?

The attorney lists everyone else as doing something wrong besides the woman, who by her own claims is just as responsible. How predictable

Not to mention that she apparently had "consensual" sex with a bunch of under-aged boys as young as 14. If she were an 18 year old male, she and the father would be the only ones facing any charges

And the lack of conviction means this will not be counted as a false accusation.

Actually this will be counted by RAINN and feminists as rapists who went free.

/seriously, I checked their methodology and they make no attempt to account for false accusations unless those lead to a conviction for perjury (also they don't account for cases where the guy is later exonerated and released from prison).

Let's get downvoted to oblivion!

Look, I am not in favour of suing false accusers that recant. I am more concerned that men and boy be free: If recanting is costly (and accusing, still not costly) I believe we'll get more innocent men and boys in jail.

Now... If the accusation is independently proven to be false... Then, convicting the accuser is smart and warranted

And the real solution is to stop convicting based on testimony alone
