It takes a special kind of stupid to call the cops and have an alleged abuser hauled off, then decide to not show up after a court order has been sent off because you don't want to lose child support.

This is really too much of a grey area to be considered PPD. It is hard to validate the judges behavior. I know people who were in the same situation as this woman (assuming she was being honest). They only wanted it over with because they were already traumatized enough and didn't have the money, or support structures, to get out of the situation.

Holy fuck reddit! I'm trying really had to stay subscribed to this because I do enjoy a good justice post, but this is just sad. Being a victim of abuse, whether you're a man or woman, has to be such a life altering situation that can destroy your life and how you can function around others. The comments here just sound happy that she went to jail, despite the context. I know she technically did something unlawful, but man, it's just getting harder and harder to read these comments. I know I'll get downvoted to oblivion but I just needed to say this because dealing with abuse personally and reading these comments got me really anxious.
