I'm sure this won't be a popular question, but... Is 17 really still a kid? Sure, according to the law in some places, it is, legally. But, the age of majority seems to be flexible enough for some places to place it at 17, or even younger. On a moral level, though, I can't personally see her as some perverted child rapist, or something.

It's an improvement, but 30 days in jail is still too light. A man would have gotten at least 6 months.
