I was actually on her side for a bit there. It was private property and she had every authority to ask them to leave. She should of called the cops rather than take matters into her own hands like that by stealing his board.

Yeah she can't actually take their board, but skateboarding on cement structures like that causes damage that is pretty expensive to repair. It's also a liability, even if you have signs posted. People who don't understand these simple things are dickheads. I can also understand how people dealing with skateboarders in these kind of situations lose their cool. They're usually outnumbered and being spoken to in a disrespectful manner by someone much younger than they are. It's no surprise that a lot of people say, "well I'll just take your fucking skateboard." It may not be right, and it may not be logical, but it's the only option a bruised ego has.

EVERYONE HERE WHO THINKS THEY KNOW THE LAW: She can use a reasonable force to detain criminals as long as she is correct (unlike police who have to be reasonably certain). She is correct that they are breaking the law and she took the board to detain them. SHE IS FOLLOWING THE LAW.
