Because they've been raised thinking what feminism describes (all the normal female privileges with no downsides) is equality.

So they find actual equality, the loss of privilege, to be oppressive.

Feminism is not an equality movement. Feminism is a supremacy movement.

It's the Accountability Gap - this particular gap is extraordinarily beneficial to women, who can either play the victim card, or accept infantilization, and be held less accountable or not be held accountable at all.

Some of the arguments for sparing women jail are actually good - but the can BE APPLIED TO MEN EQUALLY. Like minor drug convictions. If you're going to lobby for it, it should be across the board.

Because they don't demand equality. Demanding equality only when it seems to benefit you, and not when it isn't, is not demanding equality at all. I should add that a small minority of women do exist who ask for equality even when it isn't in their interest. But they're too few and nobody listens when they make such demands.

Men aren't really demanding equality either but they're not in the position to make such demands in the first place. So most of them do the only thing they can do: deal with it.

Do you notice something strange about the following paragraphs:

Outcomes for imprisoned women are also significantly worse, with 55.8 per cent of reoffending within a year (compared to 26 per cent with given community orders). Women released from custody are also more likely to reoffend, and quicker than those serving community sentences.

They are both supposedly comparing men and women, yet she only quotes the figures for women - those for men are mysteriously missing.

What percentage of male prisoners were "sexually, physically or emotionally abused as children"? I'm guessing more than half is a lowball figure.

This feminist bigot is exploiting a prejudice that is deeply ingrained, not only in the justice system, but in society as a whole: that women who commit crime are damaged and need help, while men who commit crime are evil and need punishment. There is absolutely no unbiased evidence to support this belief. In fact, men and especially boys are more often abused and their abuse is much greater. Further, women with problems have many more resources at their disposal and their problem are taken much more seriously. The system favors women so overwhelmingly that one has to be an extreme man-hater to say women are shortchanged.

They want only equality when it benefits them. See all the blue collar jobs. Manager positions. There every woman is screaming :50% blah blah.But what about the hard jobs and the dirty ones?

Half of women in British prisons suffer from anxiety and depression and a quarter report symptoms of psychosis. Nearly half of incarcerated women will have attempted suicide. Moreover, a third of female prisoners have a child under five...

So, how do those numbers look for the rest of the prison population?

I rarely see women demand equality. Most of the time when I hear or see women complain about something, it's about their own good.

Most men aren't any different, though. Few people are actually interested in equality.
