I suggest opening by acknowledging the issues that women face, such as not being trusted to be competent in certain fields, and having their reproductive rights under attack by an 80% male Congress that doesn't fully understand women's issues. Mention that everyone knows that equality for women has been important to fight for... how they used to forfeit everything they own to their husband when they got married, how they couldn't vote until the 20s, and so on.

But then mention that all of these issues have gotten a lot of attention, while men's issues get completely overlooked. Then just dump the stats on them... men are 97% of combat deaths, 80% of suicides, 76% of murder victims, 93% of workplace fatalities. Girls are 40% more likely than boys to become a college graduate in America today. Men are 68% of the homeless, meanwhile women who are homeless have far more resources available to help them including women-only shelters. Men receive nearly triple the prison time as women for committing the same crimes.

Then ask them how feminists, and all women, would react if women were facing all of those problems today. To say the least it would be a huge deal to them, and they'd really want something to be done to address it all... and that's exactly what MRAs are interested in.

Do not bash feminism, do not be controversial. Just point out the inequalities and discrimination, and how those things are not acceptable. Bring up male disposability, where people are sensitive to the issues that women face but simply care less about helping men, kind of figuring that men will be able to help themselves... and that this lack of help is what leads to the far higher rate of suicide.

Also maybe mention the recent story of a man whose child was given up for adoption without his permission, and he'll have a long court case trying to get his child back. But I'd avoid false rape accusations, anything to do with rape is controversial and makes people turn off their brains.

I suggest bringing up the problems without gender first. People are usually stuck in their bias so if you present the info as in some people in the world are more likely to commit suicide, certain demographics are more likely to be imprisoned etc. And then once people are sitting there going that's terribly unfair just drop it in that every item and stat you've mentioned is a men's issue.

You're going to have to be far more specific than that as the things that affect a whole gender aren't just one or two things because it's such a large and varied demographic.

What are you talking about specifically now and what is a hot issue that people tend to bicker about a lot?

To make a great presentation, do it in a systematic way. Break the whole topic down into differnt subtopics. One should be the legal disadvantage of men, another one should be about the empathy gap and in how the media writes differently when it's about women. You'll find a lot of very similar cases of rape, violence and murder where the media avoids the word rape for the women case, and the judge gives the man a way higher sentence.

Dont mention feminists or feminism unless someone else brings it up. If you mention them that just opens up an avenue to have it interpreted as an attack on feminism.

Dont even give it the time of day.

But at the same time be prepared for someone else to bring it up.

You are likely get something like, "But feminism already addresses that." To that i would recommending stressing the need for a diversity of male voices that feminism does not and should be expected to provide on issues as they affect men. And i say, "as they affect men" rather than "issues that affect men" so that you dont sound like you are drawing hard lines in the sand over what is a mens issue or womens issue.

If you look at a lot of issues most of them affect both men and women negatively.

You can keep it current and talk about things like how Canada plans to exclude single male refugees from entering the country due to security concerns. Even though we see female suicide bombers. Talk about how it is ok to demonize men based on the actions of a few while the women always receive a free pass.

Personally I find these to be the most powerful statistics.

I would also follow up on several situations where men have lost their rights due to the feminist movement, such as that guy from Canada.

Also if you get the, "But feminism is dealing with those things." Have actual experiences of men who did try to look to feminism and they were turned down and mistreated.

But also say that the goal of the mrm isnt to attack or discredit feminism but rather to provide a space for men to work on there issues as well.

And for the staunch ones that cant be bothered to consider that there is room for more than feminism to help people turn it back on them and ask, "whats wrong with providing a space for people when they have been turned away from other spaces?"
