I greatly doubt that people would act in that way based on what she said. I have the sneaky feeling that some variables were left out of her account. I would'nt put it past her to purposely construct the story in a favorable light. We need more witnesses to get at the truth I guess. This reminds me of that Muslim woman who claimed people were being vicious/discriminatory towards her over an unopened coke can (Which later had counter testimony that her story was a lie).

The link here says "never actually set foot inside" to suggest she never went there at all, but based on what she said, she was definitely attacked at the location. To add insult to injury, she then tells of how the staff of the location mocked her and insulted her to her face, apparently because she had been attacked outside their establishment. I thought the people around here were sympathetic to victims of unwarranted violence. Was I wrong? Should victims of assault be mocked?

The expansion from "I got brutally assaulted for no good reason and then was mocked for it" to "you will get roofied" is a big jump though, definitely. If you want to ridicule the person, that's what you should ridicule them for. I can understand that they're thinking "people who go to this bar are just the worst kind of people and the staff clearly doesn't care when a woman is assaulted by their customers", but that's slippery slope fallacy and it's not fair to guess that because some customers are violent assailants that others would be rapists.

But you don't ridicule her for being upset about getting attacked outside the bar or for telling people about the event. That's perfectly reasonable and everyone should do that if they are ever treated that way.

And incidentally, I don't see what this has to do with men's issues. Is it supposed to be a men's right that they should be allowed to assault women outside of bars? Is it supposed to be a men's right that they should be allowed to mock victims of assault when they ask for help?
