Lmfao, what? More than half of all marriages end in divorce. How many end in murder?

But married men do feel entitled sometimes. Like they think just because there is family court, they are entitled justice and basic human rights; just because their kids call them "daddy!", they feel entitled to see their kids. Pffffs.

Perhaps, as a woman, Amanda might enlighten us as to why women kill men and children. I'm sure it's for Very Good Reasons.

Pointing fingers and blaming doesn't help anyone. Should be feminism 101 but obviously isn't.

Because logic is a tool by which entitled men control women and trick them into allowing men to rape them by piv sex. /s

funny part about the article is the author using a state representative for a quote (as if the rep is an expert or qualified for such statements).

Domestic homicide is committed almost entirely by men who feel off-the-charts levels of male entitlement

How did I know she was going to say this.

This is a rage inducing statement. I just can't believe she actually thinks this. No matter what feminist say the dworkin model of feminism is obviously the default setting and everything else is flavoring on top of that.

But the blunt fact is that we can understand the motivations of someone who would do this. Domestic homicide is committed almost entirely by men who feel off-the-charts levels of male entitlement—men who feel so entitled to control a woman just because they've dated or married her that they resort to violence to reassert control.

Was there not some woman who went nuts and killed at least one social worker and maybe 3 members of her family, after she lost custody of her child?

Just a few days ago?

So why do women murder men?

[–]Maschalismos 1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

Don't be misogynist! Women don't murder! They act bravely to escape horrible situations!

.....Men just happen to die as a result.

Whenever I read in the paper about a domestic murder committed by a man going through a divorce and custody dispute, I don't think about how often it happens, bt about how often it doesn't happen.

I've seen so many men - close friends and family - just absolutely ruined by this and nearly every one of them just goes along quietly for the sake of the kids.

Ahhh Marcotte, if only the man in your life had a set of balls.

[–]garglemesh42 2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link

If he did, he wouldn't be the man in her life.

Hilarious article. Most murderers possibly all, murder because they feel trapped by someone or something and they feel that the person that they need to kill is as a direct obstacle to their freedom. I would never condone murdering your wife and kids, but, he probably murdered his wife because he felt she was cornering him or enfeebling him somehow after that he probably just felt he couldn't let the kids have to live their life with a dead mother killed by their father so he killed them so he wouldn't have to live with that misery. It's insane, but makes a lot more sense then what the author explained which is basically that he was trying to reassert his control like some kind of animal dominance trying to reign as leader of the family pack.
