It's a slight issue with anyone who has a grad degree in anything: suddenly all the world's problems can be fixed by your degree. Fortunately, how the Computer Science degree tries to solve a problem doesn't really affect anybody else's life. Unfortunately, those who get degrees in "Cater to me, I'm a Woman" (also known as "Gender/Womens Studies"), suddenly every problem is because we aren't falling over ourselves to make sure women don't have any problems in life.

Yes! Just ask Anita Sarkeesian.

Third Wave Feminism is just a bunch of privileged, upper-middle class college-educated white women who have ran out of things to complain about. They are literally one of the most privileged demographics in the history of the human race and yet they find everything “oppressive” and “sexist.” Most of their attempts at creating equality are just furthering female privilege. For example, wanting laws against catcalling so that men they don’t find desirable won’t look at them or talk to them while they’re in public.

A lot of people get down on this sub for its bashing of feminism (e.g. “What does this have to do with Men’s rights?”). But often feminism’s attempts at furthering female privilege is done at the expense of men’s rights. For example, the way sexual assault cases are adjudicated on college campuses gives the accused little or no rights.
