Are there a lot of girls growing up telling themselves "I want to go work for twitter but I can't because there are too many men there"? Is that a thing? Wouldn't that make those women just giant sexist bigots for thinking that way? I mean, would you ever have someone go "I want to go work for myspace but there are too many black people there, so I'm not going to"?

but by openly supporting this, they are only providing validity to the lawsuit. regardless of whatever actions they execute now, at the time Twitter had marred her career.

Allowing everyone to have the same opportunity to succeed should be the goal of every business and every industry.

Same opportunity != Giving hiring preference to women. That's unequal opportunity.

The ironic truth is, for the small minority of women possessing the pertinent tech skills, it's insanely easy to get hired by Twitter. They, and other similar companies, are falling all over themselves to hire females so as not to appear sexist. Yet, we live in a patriarchy.

If they really wanted to get women into STEM, they would hire a PR firm to glamorize STEM, not force quotas and all this other BS. And even then, I doubt it would work, because results matter. Don't make Highschool football the most popular sport in highschool; make it science club or computer class. Women respond to social cues more so than men. In an alternate world, if all the jocks and popular girls joined those clubs and it was something that a lot of people were interested in, idolized, I bet women might be more interested in it. But the fact is, most woman simply are not interested in it. Hell, a lot of men aren't either. Whether they are wired that way or not is not for me to decide, but lets quit this bs: Men aren't conspiring to keep women out. There just aren't a lot of women interested in STEM fields. Ask any hiring manager now, are women favored in STEM fields over men because of meritless quotas and wanting to be "Politically Correct" and "not Misogynist". The answer would be yes. This is just more BS. Women simply aren't as interested in the field as men.

Equality of opportunity, not equality of outcome. It's not an uneven work force because they don't want to hire women, it's because it just happens to be in this field there are more men who know what they are doing.

At my Job there is a single female software engineer. Not because they don't want to hire women but because none apply. I don't get why this is so hard to understand
