She had denied a charge of perverting the course of justice but changed her plea to guilty on the eve of a trial over two years later.

Perverting the course of justice is the same crime she'd get if she lied and said they jaywalked, where she wouldn't have traumatizde her victims for years, maybe their whole lives.

Isn't there a more serious crime here?

getting pretty sick of these reposts. this is like the 7th time in the last 2 weeks this story has been posted, from various websites. not your fault or anything, i just find it amazing how the telegraph and the daily mail have REPEATEDLY posted the same articles about the same shit with just different wording.

they were on this case as soon as it went public, sure. but they post these clickbait articles about this story every other day now, even though there have been no new developments. like they posted multiple articles about the fact that she got a prison sentence, right? but these articles were the same format, they were just typical informative stuff, no opinion/editorial or anything. it seems like they are just milking this story for as many articles as they can possibly get... and it's causing people to keep posting the same story, worded slightly differently, in /r/mensrights. getting kind of annoying but obviously i wouldn't expect you to know how many times it's been reposted.

just saying telegraph, mirror, daily mail, get your shit together and stop wasting our time with clickbait. i always click this thinking it's a new story about another false accuser, then i'm disappointed with the same pudgy balloon face staring at me. and yeah, let's not pretend, this chick looks really fucking weird.

Just because there wasn't enough evidence to convict them doesn't necessarily mean the opposite is true
