I don't think this would withstand a defence of 'contra Magna Carter' in the UK or Commonwealth countries.

We can't have a law which requers a defendent to prove 'consent' or 'innocence'. Isn't that a breach of 'Common Law'? I think it might be different in the US and France, but in Common Law nations you can't require a defendent to prove he/she had consent, you have to prove the defendent didn't have consent - that's what Magna Cartar laid down, and it's been the basis of our law for six hundred years or so.

The new guidance also covers ... those [situations] where “the complainant may be financially or otherwise dependent on their alleged rapist”.

So basically any husband with a housewife at home is a suspected rapist.

Whilst I do read about a lot of anti-feminism, men's rights, gender egalitarian etc. posts online, I rarely actually contribute. However, this has just pissed me off far too much.

The legal system is already swayed towards females in every instance, and now the guidelines are actually having to go against the fundamental principle of ''innocent until proven guilty'' in the name of "equality" aka advancement of women? Like seriously, which moron sat down and thought this was a good idea.

If that wasn't enough, the fact women won't get the same "guilty till proven innocent" treatment is complete ****. The entire setup of this is basically sexist against men, but oh where are these supposed feminists that "care about men too!!!" oh right they're the ones supporting this change.

I might seem ranting, but honestly I didn't think the UK would get this screwed over by such stupid ideology.

Also I think if you are drunk + you consent, you still consent. You're not a victim, you just made a silly decision.

This wouldn't really be a bad thing if there was also a focus on false accusations. There are situations where a girl can't say no.

The real monsters as usual are girls who make false accusations. It's blatant abuse of a justice system set in place to protect men and women, and the punishment should be much more severe than today.

The other problem is girls who think that being afraid to say no when on a one-night-stand with some effeminate 18 year old is comparable to being afraid to say no to a physically superior older man who has intimidated you. I can empathize with the fear, but at the same time, irrational fear can be dealt with through therapy with no consequences, as opposed to rational fear.

Around 85,000 women per year are victims of rape in the UK, of whom 90 per cent know the perpetrator.

How on earth did they get the figure about 85000 rape victims in total per year if they're not being reported? This is a genuine question more than just picking holes - do they have some sort of method because it just seems like an arbitrary figure pulled out of the air to me.

The recording might fall under the "normal behavior to counteract rape charges". In other words, you wouldn't record conversation if you didn't expect to be accused of rape. You wouldn't be accused of rape if you hadn't committed rape. Therefore, you are a rapist, no matter what you do.

I'm unfamiliar with typical UK laws, but this is pretty harsh. Laws like this make me think the mgtow thing isn't so crazy. Or at least a super careful approach with any woman I met. So now you're going to have a lot of women bringing charges up against men because they regret feeling slutty the next day. Not to mention all of the BS charges of rape that never happened, simply because the woman develops an irrational hatred of the man for something he did in their "relationship" and now wants to punish him.
