Or, for that matter, any other movement that some people feel angry about. Which, I think, would include every movement there is.

Once again, i find myself in agreement with my manager, who had this to say...

"'when other similar movements for equality find at least a general sense of acceptance.'

That's where i stopped reading. If by other movements you mean blacks and gays, those people have actual disparities to deal with, women on the other hand are already better off than men on just about every measure. This means that feminism is not a movement for equality but one for privilege, no wonder so many people find it vile."

No, you are signing up to feminisms notion of equality which states thats only women are victims of inequality, or at least inequality affecting women is the only issue that matters, and we cant even talk about issues affecting men because they are already enjoying the privledges of patriarchy and just want to opress women anyway blah blah blah heard it all before.

Anyone who really just belived in true equality between the sexes would simply call themselves an equalist.

Most people would stop and reflect on why they're getting other people so angry. But dogma doesn't do reflection. She dismisses what others are saying and simply restates her dogma.

There's an opportunity for MRAs to compete against feminism in promoting gender equality overseas.

Feminism comes from our countries and spills over into countries where women are treated terribly. Independent-minded women, seeing this, are likely to latch onto feminism, because it's offering them a better option.

It is in the interest of MRAs to provide an alternative, one that truly represents gender equality and freedom for all genders, to slow the spread of feminism and the misandry it produces.

Compare with atheists, another despised minority. Being defamed as selfish, atheists have created charities large and small devoted to generally helping out, while being visibly atheist at the same time.

There are too few MRAs, but maybe there's one issue that is not a men's issue, something where MRAs could be visible and effective in getting something done for women elsewhere in the world. Maybe writing letters of encouragement to female prisoners, or writing letters of protest to governments that punish women for improper dress. It doesn't have to be something that will break the bank, or be complex. For extra effectiveness, it should be something that feminists are currently not doing, but should be.

Personally, I'm not angry about the existence of feminism, and I don't know anybody who's angry about the existence of feminism.

I'm angry about the existence of people who say they're feminists but who only care about "equality" when it benefits women, though.

I liken it to Muslims. I'm not angry about the existence of Muslims, I'm angry about the existence of Muslims who use bullshit logic to justify killing people.

I love the way the author acknowledges that many feminists hates men but then insists it's a movement about wanting gender equality. By that measure the KKK were a movement for racial equality.
