Texas Tech reinstates football player who was dismissed from team for protecting himself from female basketball player who started fight with him. Now both players punishment is more of less even.

TL:DR Grand Jury refused to indict him on aggravated assault after video surveillance of the incident proved the female basketball player initiated the fight and he was defending himself. I'd imagine such a ruling forced TT's hand to apply the same rationale in applying an equal punishment to them both, instead of dismissing him from the team and only slapping her wrist with a suspension.
