But you're misreading things. It's not "asshole" vs "non-asshole," with asshole being an attractive quality for women. That's a really superficial understanding of the situation. It's that women want different things than men. They are attracted to different qualities: Dominance, confidence, strength, competence, affluence, etc. A lot of these qualities overlap with "assholes," but not necessarily.

A lot of guys think about things they like in women: Are they attractive? Are they kind and warm to me? Etc. Then they make the mistake of thinking women are biologically attracted to the same qualities (spoiler: they're not). So men make the mistake of thinking, "Hey, if only I'm really fucking nice to the girl I like, and warm and friendly and emotionally available, etc. then the girl will like me!" Some guys never realize that this doesn't work.

Quit the nice guy traits. You need to stop trying to gain women's approval and favor, because that's pretty beta and turns women off, and instead gain confidence and approve yourself. Lift weights. Set goals and achieve them. Read books that help you grow. Find really interesting hobbies that you love and bring meaning to your life. Basically, think of your ideal future (pretending women aren't going to be a part of it) and pursue that. Would you be strong? Brave? Make good money? Do all that stuff. And own it, be happy. Don't care what other people think of you, because you know in your heart you're following your dreams and living the right way. Yes, some people will think you're an asshole, because you're not living for their approval, even if you're genuinely a good man and kind and charitable to others. It's just life. But you won't care, you'll be happy and healthy and doing cool shit. Right?

And you know what? Women will see that and want to come along for the ride. They'll want to do things with you, you won't have to try to get them to "like you," they'll just see you and want your dick. Seduction will be on easy mode.

Make sense? Do the work, for yourself, and the other things will come along.

Unpopular opinion here maybe....but I’ve got three daughters, all either dating or have boyfriends and I can promise you that they absolutely do not like assholes. Women like inner strength, confidence and leaders.

These days, in our pussified toilet clown society, being a "man" means asking permission, apologizing, putting the pussy on a pedestal, never questioning the narrative of the welfare state, and so on.

In reality, being a man means sticking to your guns no matter what. That's why women shit test, to see how weak your guns are. Don't have weak guns.

It's not that they like assholes, it that they hate doormats.

If you go full on raging asshole, you aren't going to succeed with most women.

What you need to do is stand up for yourself and own your shit. In the process of doing that, you will be disagreeing with her and others. Since most men do whatever the pussy says, when you disagree, she thinks you are an "asshole."

tldr - be a disagreeable "asshole" and not an actual asshole.

Women don't like asshole.

Women like men who know who they are and what they want and have the confidence and self assuredness to express it and obtain it, without remorse.

You need to uncover who you are, in every way. To do this, you go out into the world and test out ideas and experiences. You just do, say and think things which require courage. The things that make you uncomfortable.

After a while you start to figure it out. Things just start falling into place. A sort of intuition about yourself relative to the world begins to set in, and confidence, self esteem and the product of your labor begin to show.

But trust me when I say, it takes years to become the guy who doesn't "fake" being an asshole to get girls. He is the guy who is an asshole and a sweetheart all at once because he isn't afraid to show the world exactly who he is.
