"Looks are not the only thing that matters. Certain personality traits are also very important for attraction"

So how do you develop those traits?

"Well they are determined by you genes and your environment when growing up"

Oh wow, really disproving determinism here. What a great argument indeed.

you'll be happy to know that the twitter man doesn't really know what he's talking about and that you can in fact develop traits that women find attractive.

yeah anyone selling you solutions has a vested interest in keeping you unsuccessful and lonely.

What are those traits?

there are as many traits and variations of importance for those traits as there are women on earth. so about 4 billion combinations which is a bit much for a reddit reply. two traits that have been observed to be important enough that women will sacrifice attractiveness for it is being hardworking and being easy-going. i'm not going to google science journals to give you more i'm done with research today.

lol

he absolutely nails a lot of the flaws in incel's use of academic study to bolster their worldview and then proceeds to do it himself. and also cites no sources. come on. i know it's twitter but if you're going to type up two dozen tweets what's a couple more.

the problem with black / redpill shit is that it is a worldview that is removed from reality. not to say there are not kernels of truth at the centre. the best bullshit is wrapping up a truth.

absolute fact: most surveyed women stated a preference for taller men.

stupid bullshit: short men are fucked there's nothing you can do wahhhhhh

EDIT: i'm going to elaborate.

this dude even cedes to incels that their focus on appearance is 'mostly right'. i googled for a few minutes and found this:

Results indicate that dominance and the traits associated with it predict men's mating success, but attractiveness and the traits associated with it do not. These findings point to the salience of contest competition on men's mating success in this population.

well there's some suggestions otherwise.

in fact, in the next study i read it actually stated that all things being equal women go for the hottest man more than men go for the hottest woman. but all things are not equal. this study actually demonstrates women trading in 'attractiveness points' to put it in other traits like you're building a character.

It is remarkable that women showed no sign that they would trade off resources for a companionable mate, or one of the ideal age. This may mean that women expect to find a mate with these qualities, regardless of their relative importance, but they do not expect to find a physically attractive mate without having to compromise finding a male with resources.

and this only had them trading off for a handful of traits (easygoing-ness, companionship, age, hard working, education). how many other traits are out there that women would trade for?

see what i mean? people suck at parsing academic writing.

EDIT 2:

this just keeps getting more interesting. reading shit now that asks why the fuck we think we can generalise what's attractive to women as a whole. how many attractive points do you think a russian heiress would trade in exchange for you having a six figure income? how many attractive points would a woman in the phillipines whose little sister is about to die from malnutrition trade for a little bit of those six figures? attraction is based on survival and what each woman needs to survive is unique to her on an individual level.

not going to argue that the article isnt valid but multiple researchers had different findings

exactly. it's ambiguous, and as in my last edit it might be a really fucking stupid idea to even attempt to generalise the best sexual traits.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
