Hey everyone, I haven’t posted in about 8 months. But I’m 16 months separated and 10 months into the divorce process and have mediation this Friday. Big points are really trying to get 50/50 and have final say in Religion and Extracurriculars. I am willing to go to trial if I don’t like my custody situation. All her complaints about me are not out of the normal and don’t hold any weight. In my opinion she left because “I’m unhappy in my marriage so I left” but she framed it saying I was disrespectful and argumentative. It’s in GA and I’m a government worker and in the military reserves. I am trying to decide which insurance to get for me and my two sons. The FEHB plans specifically Blue Cross/Blue Shield Focus or Tricare Reserves Select. Tricare option costs less o throughout the categories but if anyone who has experienced these two options, which one was best? And why? Also, I was looking at the eligibility and I know you can’t do both, but can choose Tricare even if I am eligible for FEHB plans?

Also, any tips for the mediation would be super helpful. I’ve never done this before and talked with my lawyer today to calm the nerves and get an idea of how it will go and what we will talk about.

I would rather look back in 5 years and find myself in a little debt but got one or two extra days with my sons each week rather than saving 15K and only getting 3.5-4days a week like I am now.

Also, is there any way to get access to her phone records like text messages? It was requested in discovery but she declined because of privacy. If we go to trial can is there another chance to request them? Anyone have some similar experience? I think she is talking with someone else already or has been.

I know this is kinda mean but she has all the pets with her now, I don’t mind not having the pets but I want to trade my chances to have some of the pets to get more time with my kids if I don’t get 50/50.

Thanks for the help
