So 2.5 years ago I started planning a trip for all of us to DC. Then stbxw asked if her parents could come along. I’m like ok. Then a couple weeks after I find out they want to pay for everything and bring her brother too.

Was pushed out due to Covid and then last year due to health issues with her parents and then I find out about the divorce but the still want me to go along

Thanks but no thanks. I would love to spend this time with my daughters but I’m not going to spend an entire week with them.

Told my daughters to make a list of everything they loved and then maybe in a couple years they can be my tour guide

I talk with my daughters every night since they left. They are exhausted from all the running as my MIL ( the one who hijacked the trip) has a calendar with everything scheduled at specific dates and times.

I saw it about 2 months ago ( before I was told of the divorce) and I didn’t say anything but thought to myself, what did I get myself into????

So glad I decided to stay home.
