As someone who initiated divorce because (among other reasons) years of indifference and rejection, I have to recognize I'm starving for female attention and validation as a worthy partner and lover.

Intellectually I know I'm a catch, for my age anyway, but after years of being told otherwise it's hard to overcome it emotionally. A nagging second guessing creeps in.

I'm not ready for a serious relationship, clearly. And I know it. (Not casual either.)

In my in person interactions I am friendly, mildly flirtatious, and positive, and avoid the impression that I'm looking for more. For now I think this is enough. It also takes the pressure off and it's very easy and comfortable.

But I also signed up for tinder, just to see what it was all about. And damned if I'm not a little giddy when I get a match and a chat.

I figure it's good practice at least. And one I actually like, and I've been bluntly honest about my uncertainty of readiness, which was perceived very positively. So that's good.

Anyone relate to this? Any big pitfalls?

Of course, I've been in the gym seriously, lost a bunch of weight, and do have a therapist, and am focusing on keeping my life in order, as we should all do.
