You say you haven’t shared income info “per the divorce agreement “. Is this a legally binding agreement that was included in your divorce proceeding? If so, did you sign it voluntarily? I’m assuming you now want to change the agreement and have her pay support?

You agreed on 50/50. Every woman in the world would go after you if your situation improved. It’s complete bullshit. So why do you want to do the same? Is it because you can’t provide for your children when they’re with you, or do you just want more because you feel like you have less? If you can cover their needs when they’re with you, then just love your children and let her go.

I was told child support is the one thing you cannot make ‘an agreement’ to never ask for. There’s everything else… and then there’s child support.

Where I live child support is actually handled outside of family court. It’s a formula. You do not need an attorney to make a claim. If I was you id find someone else who’s gone through a divorce in your state with kids. Find out where to go file and go file. I’d also give your ex a heads up that you intend to do so. Also there’s probably a place online with your state where you can input estimates and see how much you’d be owed.

Assuming you're in the US, jurisdictions allow Child Support recalculations every 2-3 years (each jurisdiction is different -- check yours). That applies even if CS wasn't previously paid. Either party can petition the court to enforce state CS guidelines, and the court will always oblige since they are financially incentivized by the federal government.

What does your agreement say about who gets to claim the kids on their tax returns? That's a good route - you should want to minimize taxes now so if it makes more sense for her to claim them both and share net gain with you, that would be good for everyone.
