Ex taking me to court for child support modification and decree modification (Texas). Will the judge calculate child support based on an average of my W-2s from the past three years, or will they focus on my current income as shown by pay stubs?

Here’s some context: In 2022 and 2023, I was in a sales role and earned significant commissions. Starting in 2024, I transitioned to a different role within the same company, which has significantly reduced my income. I have the offer letter and documentation to support this change. This transition wasn’t an attempt to reduce child support—I was simply burned out from sales and needed a change for my well-being.

I’d appreciate your input. I do have a lawyer, but I’m also seeking additional perspectives. Thank you!
