Is it possible to pay a lump sum payment for child support or is it required to be paid monthly? I agreed to pay for my child's healthcare $200 a month) but I may be on the hook for a small amount of child support since I make more (only 10k more). We are selling our house and will split 50/50. She doesn't want child support so no issue there but the state requires it regardless as far as I know? I was thinking about asking her to give me how much his child support would be for 4 years in the home closing. I would then turn around once the divorce is final and pay her back a lump sum/same amount she paid me.
