Abusive behaviour and lack of respect broke down our marriage irretrievably.

I went to court and of the 12 people getting divorced, I was the only person who broke down outside the court room and sobbed unconsolably.

To the man who loves his woman even in spite of everything you know she did that is unacceptable.

You’re doing this BECAUSE you love her.

You’re giving her a chance to face consequences and grow into the woman you saw within all along.

You will make it through.

I had to fight my every instinct for 2 years to make it to this day.

I have never been through something harder.

But I’ve come out the other side as a man, I know who my true friends are, and I know that my now ex wife has a fresh chance at love as an adult.

I have forgiven her, and although I doubt we’ll stay in contact, we both deeply love each other in spite of it all.

Maybe heaven has another plan for us. But for now this is my lot in life.

And I did it.
