Friend’s ex (Jane) has legal representation, friend (John) is prose.

John filed for divorce using efile. Papers were served and filed with court this week. Jane has not filed her answer.

Jane’s lawyer emailed John this afternoon and attached a Notice of Appearance and a Request for Financial Statement produced in 10 days.

1.) If John e-filed, wouldn’t these attachments be filed with the court and served through that system? The request is dated for today, was emailed after 5pm, and states it was served by emailing a copy of same. Wouldn’t John also have to agree to receive service through email? If John didn’t even open the email until next week, how would service be established?

2.) Is it appropriate for Jane to request a financial long form so soon, without having filed an answer or her own long form?
