Just some thoughts I wanted to write about.

During one of my down phases, I thought about why I felt down. This time, it was the feeling of failing in my marriage. Looking back, it seem so plain that we were drifting apart. We put the kids before us. We stopped doing things together. We became comfortable doing things by ourselves. If I could invent a time machine and go back, I would go back to when my oldest kid was about five years old. I would tell myself to help my wife with the kids, that date night is more than dinner and talking about the kids, and I'll be happier if I made my wife happier. Unfortunately, that's not going to happen. Instead, I can just learn this lesson and apply them to the next relationship. By identifying why I feel down, I'm able to acknowledge it, feel it, and get over it. I guess that's the good think about life. While I failed in this marriage (and I might not ever get married again), there's a good chance, I find someone else to love and be a better partner.
