Okay here we go.

I (37m) want to leave my wife (41f) due to deadbedroom. We've been married 8 years and have 1 child and I have a step daughter. We own our home that we've lived in for 6 years. We both make about the same amount roughly 30k in a low cost of living state. I met with a lawyer today, the process seems pretty straightforward and according to the lawyer we would basically divide everything evenly between us since our incomes are so similar. I would like to let her keep the house so as to not disrupt the kids too much. I think she can afford it on her own. On paper it seems like it's not too difficult but I'm truly terrified of this.

I feel like I'm doing something wrong, like since there's no 'big issue' that I should continue to stick it out and hope things get better.
