Curious how did you do this? My wife and I have both consulted with a lawyer but I (think) we hope to reconcile. Did you just have cash in savings, or each take out from your roth or something? Hoping neither one of us has to pull the trigger but who knows.

I would get guidance from your attorney on when to cut over accounts. I didn't do it until our separation agreement was in place.

As far as single life, you'll get to do what you want when you want. I got rid of shit that had been accumulated for years. I spent weeks taking shit to the dumps and donating stuff.

As far as dating, you can try your luck with dating apps or in the wild. Your friends should be able to get you hooked up as well.

Don't be in a rush for a relationship. Just have fun.

Even if uncontested, expect things to take a turn for the worst at any time if money and/or kids are involved.
Regarding single life, I guess it depends on whether you were isolated or not allowed to do things while you were married. Single life means you will be free to do whatever you want and when you want.
Being single means you will be alone but you don't have to be lonely. Your mindset determines alot of your views and feelings going forward in your new life. Some men might feel lonely if they did not want the divorced but one can reframe it into solitude.
