I moved out

I tried the co-hab while seperated for about a month last year but the fighting, side comments and dead bedroom issues I moved out just a month later. I roomed with a friend for about 6 months and I'm now living in hotels waiting for my apartment to be ready.

We can’t know the whole situation there, but lying down and paying for everything doesn’t sound like a solution for you or for the children.

The kids need to be taken care of, but they also need to see a dad who can take care of himself. Not only that, you can’t take care of the kids properly unless you take care of yourself.

My current situation: 2 weeks after first hearing, I’m out of the house in an almost completely furnished apartment. Still paying the mortgage at the house, along with my rent and utilities. She was instructed to pay her own bills at the house. I have the kids at least 50% of the time here.

I know this may not be typical, but you need to make a life.

I moved right into another apartment, from the house. But if you are struggling to make ends meet right now, maybe look for a roommate ?

I was in the same boat. I moved out a few months ago. Living in my brother's basement. It's been better. We're not getting back together, so it's helping me move on. We HAVE to move on when it's over. It's hard to do that when you're constantly triggered.
