New York chiming in - you need to get these parts explicitly written out in the stip, with conditions and 'penalties' written in. Leave nothing to interpretation and make sure your lawyer doesn't gloss over these. For instance: If she takes the kids for a day you're supposed to have them, you get the kids for a day, on a day of your choosing, in the same week / month, no matter what she may have planned and no matter what provisions there are for weekends / alternating holidays. You've been inconvenienced, you've broken other plans, you've thrown your schedule to the wind because your wife is a manipulating cunt.

If she's doing this now, your separation and divorce are going to be this x100. She doesn't care how much time you get to spend with your kids, they've already been weaponized and you've been reduced to being the 2nd-class parent. You have to stop this shit immediately.

Her parents have no interest here. You can take your children from her parents, they aren't your kids' parents.

Don't bother ever trying to enforce parenting time in family or supreme court unless you're made of money. You'll be ignored by family and supreme court, who have no time or care to actually enforce these agreements, as they're busy with shit like kidnappings, abuse and actual murder. Your only recourse is to make up the time yourself, despite her understanding of your 'agreement'.

A little tip, she can’t keep you from visiting your kids at school so go have lunch with them. Don’t be disruptive or talk about your STBX at all with them, just go spend time with your kids. If they go to the doctor and she doesn’t share all the details...call their doc and ask them to explain the diagnosis. Judges don’t like when parents try to cut a parent out but they also don’t like when a parent “allows” it without trying to stay involved.

Call your kid’s teachers, coaches, dance schools, etc and tell them you want to be added to any txt groups, emails, newsletters. Your STBX isn’t responsible for passing everything to you so make sure you are informed of what’s going on. If she tries to actively disrupt you from attaining that info, that’ll be the real problem. If you don’t have a lawyer...get one now and make sure they only do Family Law. Document the time you spend with your kids, when she denies you access and request (don’t demand) to see them regularly. If you are involved the courts won’t cut you out but if you allow her to establish that you aren’t an involved parent...then they will be unlikely to force a change.

Get on the high road and stay there, it isn’t easy or fun but if you are the one doing all the trying and she’s not respecting your relationship with your kids, it’ll be obvious and the court will notice. It will pay off and honestly “going to war” with your STBX doesn’t actually help, it hurts in court and in life. Be firm, fair and reasonable but don’t allow her to dictate your relationship with your kids...look for ways to stay informed and involved where you don’t rely on her allowing it.
