Just take them yourself... during your parenting time you have the right to religious teachings of your choice with your childern(federal issue), provided you have not wavied that right in a Court order and honesty even if you did I don't think many judges would enforce that wavier... You can have them baptized, you could tell them to warship how ever you want during your parenting time.

Honesty what is happening does not raise to the level of parental alienation unless it cuases your childern to dislike you... that is the problem with parental alienation, is you need actions and the child to change their feelings.

It wouldn't be worth the fight for me. I'm not particularly religious.

The ultimate goal is a working relationship in regards to kids. I'd tell her you want to work with her, that leveraging the kids is really unhealthy, that you both share the same goals of raising well adjusted kids, and that you expect future compromise in return. Tell her that you both will be learning as you go.

Probably the best way to keep the peace and not set a precedence of her controlling the kids.

My objection is there is no support for 8 yr olds post baptism. My child doesn’t even want to go to church. The secondary problem is it’s against the agreed upon rules we agreed to in mediation. She would absolutely be held in contempt

What is your objection? It’s a 20 minute religious ceremony you don’t even have to attend. If I were your ex wife I would just do it without your permission. She obviously informed you which is better than most.

Doubt the court would hold her in contempt for a religious ceremony. Even if they did, what do you win? Preventing a baptism is not the hill to die on brother.

Please tell me the root of your objection is not a strong arm tactic to prove you have equal religious decision making. Your children will decide their own religious beliefs in due time. Baptizing children is a good thing in my opinion. You’re on the wrong side of this debate.

I would be pissed if my ex did what you’re doing. What is the point?
