Well- so: at the start of “unfortunate adventure” one can try and put certain mitigating factors in place that then when things go to Hell make the show merely Painful and Humiliating rather than a Near Death Experience plus minus luck / mental health / factors …

… but really that applies to all of life. If you live in the woods no electricity with a bunker weapons no human contact or dependents - might luck out if nuclear war / aliens or might die sad and lonely or might get a heart attack on the toilet no one finds you for ten years .

Life is Like a Box of Chocolates 🍫 🤷🏻‍♂️ But you can avoid chomping the whole thing, or picking the weirdest looking one, or eating the plastic wrap etc

Wow, awesome insight on this post! Simply have no kids and make the same money as your ex! I'll jot that down for my next time machine trip. Nearly as useless, lacking that time machine, as the walk-away wives club prattling on about the cOnTrAcT oF mArRiAGgE that I should have better-evaluated 10+ years in the past before it was reasonably foreseeable that my ex would treat her "lifetime" commitment as revocable for any reason or no reason at her sole option.

I mean, bully for you that you lucked into some of the more favorable circumstances to go through divorce in, I guess? (For the typical man of course -- obviously nothing compares to being the one doing the financial exploitation with the aid of divorce laws....) Not sure what it adds for any of us in not-your-ultra-lucky-circumstances who had kids and made all the money, though. "Oh, just go back and have different, more divorce-mitigating factors in my life history! Easy peasy!"

I mean, I get that you mean this as an example for others that "fit [your] profile". Still about akin to the "Have you tried.. Rich Parents??" sketch [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nloyQuxpFTg] on how easy it is to solve all one's financial struggles. :)
