So i know i will get heat on this, but I'm seriously considering stopping bleeding out in fight with ex. She took the kid (2months old) and left calling the police for domestic abuse with her sister as a false witness and blackmailing for filing charges (was a planned incident put by her lawyer). Went on claiming the house and alimony. No need to spare the details, it's been super hostile among us since we are on ongoing court battles and she uses any means she can to withhold coparenting in terms of medical care and other stuff. It's been over a year i try to make things work and i am super broken. Can't keep up anymore and seeing the child for a couple of hours a couple of times per week and having my ex playing all the little games to break me. This isn't exactly my idea of parenthood. My work demands of me a lot of night shifts and i have zero support in terms of raising a child (she has parents and sisters available 24/7). This isn't a fair battle and i had a terrible lawyer who screwed up the critical first months of court battle. I won't be getting to have the child for a good few years till she gets 5-6yo and till then I'll be seeing her for less than 4h/week, so more like a distant uncle instead of a father. Despite going to therapy from day 1 and being on SSRIs i have serious depression that can't get off. So I'm moving on. I don't want any comments like 'no thi knof your daughter' etc. I want to hear from people who did follow that path and how it turned out. All of you who managed to get 50/50 and works, I'm really happy for you, but I'm not getting that, even if I do, I can't support it with shift work and no other help. Perhaps it's the wrong sub to post this, I don't know
