She took one of the dogs and left the other with me on Thursday. I got a text saying that her movers will be at our house tomorrow morning. She texted me to say she was coming "to your place" tonight to finish packing. So by this time tomorrow, the house will be mostly empty. We have court on Tuesday to (hopefully) finalize the divorce. And then I will be alone. Well, not alone, she left the dog that she didn't want. The one that has needs that she doesn't want to have to manage.(Basically he was abandoned twice before we rescued him. He can't be left at home alone. He is OK with another dog, but she took the other dog. Because she preferred that one. And she has had a remote job the entire time and still has a remote job while I am going into the office. So the dog is getting screwed here too) She is going to spend Christmas with her family and then is leaving the state. And me? I am stuck here. Alone. My family and I aren't close and they are across the country from me anyways so I can't get there for Christmas. So anyone have any advice on how to handle the loneliness this week?
