I’m still stunned, guys. I can’t believe what just happened.
My STBX’s attorney filed a motion over a vehicle I took. She couldn’t afford it, had already told the lender multiple times she wanted off the contract, and kept blaming me—saying I was taking the vehicle and would make the payments. All while I didn’t even have it in my possession.
I wasn’t about to keep paying for something I didn’t even use. The payments were behind, and I was done risking my finances for her decisions. So I called the lender, asked what my rights were—and legally, I had the right to take the vehicle. So I did.
She was not happy.
Her attorney started emailing and calling, trying to intimidate me into returning it immediately. But I stood my ground. I said, “File your motion. Let the judge decide.”
Fast forward—court hearing gets set. Face-to-face with the judge. No lawyer. No team. Just me, my voice, and my balls.
I sat there, shaking, answering the judge’s questions. No paperwork in my hand—just facts, dates, and everything I’ve lived through. I told the truth. I spoke calmly. And I made it clear—I was being financially crushed.
The judge gave his ruling… and honestly, I was so shaken I didn’t even realize what happened. After everything I’ve been through—betrayal, lies, cheating, emotional and financial neglect—this was the first time someone of authority actually listened.
The judge ordered me to return the vehicle—but whoever has it is fully responsible for it. Payments, maintenance, all of it. He made her accountable. Finally. And it’s court-ordered.
I walked out and her lawyer mean mugged the hell out of me, lips all scrunched up. I was confused like, “What did I miss?” I just wanted out of the building.
It didn’t hit me until I got to the main floor. Holy shit. She’s on the hook. Not me. The judge actually listened. Actually heard me. And it broke me, man—I cried like a baby in my car.
This isn’t about winning. This was about being heard. Finally.
I’ve spent so long wondering if this was even worth it. If I should just give up. But I couldn’t. Because I knew the truth, and I knew I had to stand up—for myself, for my kids, and for what’s right.
And the most powerful person in that room—the judge—respected me enough to listen.
Don’t stop fighting, fellas. This shit’s a war—but stand tall and fight for what’s yours. I’m still shook… but I’m finally proud of how I showed up
