I’m wondering if any of you guys are in the same boat and could offer any advice.

I have the kids Friday evening - Sunday evening and also Wednesday evening. I have like zero options for babysitters as my oldest is special needs. I love my kids and I absolutely want them on these days, heck I would probably take them more if I was allowed to.

However, the weekends can be tough. I turned down 3 separate invites to go out this weekend and I would have absolutely loved to attend any of them. Previously I reached out to my ex to watch them just for overnight and she scalded me for not wanting to spend time with my kids and said she didn’t want to set a precedent.

I guess Im wondering do I just throw in the towel until they are older and more independent?
