I know this is a long process and many of us here have been through it. I appreciate all the insights this community always has to offer.

I’m currently a few months in of being on my own. And I gotta say it hasn’t been terrible. We seem to have an agreement in place and the coparenting has been going better than I expected initially. I’m doing a lot of the recommended things of going to the gym and therapy. (It seems to help). I’ve also been trying to spend more time with friends but I’m a few hours away due to moving for work. So I’m kind of alone here.

Even with that said I’m feeling like I’m in a down stretch. It’s been hard recently having them same interest and motivation for things. Even though it hadn’t been a good relationship for quite some time it’s hard not to kind of miss them from time to time. I don’t mind being alone but it just sucks having no one to tell about my day. After all the years it’s hard no to wonder what they are doing. I know it’s none of my business anymore and I’m trying not to care but find it hard.

I’ve been trying to give myself some time but I think it would be a little easier if I moved on even with something casual but man the dating scene (at least online) is rough these days! Especially for a newly single dad. The few conversations I’ve had it seems like no one knows how to make conversation anymore. Or they just ghost you lol.

Sorry it’s kind of a rant but wondering if anyone had any other advice or suggestions to kind of break the rut.
