My (me F45) husband (48 M) has been divorced 7 years and you’d think they separated 2 weeks ago with this woman (44 F) acts. Backstory, she filed and not even a week later she was dating (traveling, introducing kids as if they didn’t know him for years) their family dentist.

She got a substantial settlement, and 2200 a month is spousal support, all equity in the house and half their savings plus half his 401K. She now went from a SAHM to a business manager at a prestigious university, got a masters, etc. but won’t budge on the insane amount of cash she’s “entitled to.” She walked with about 500K liquid.

Last weekend my husband picks me up at a bachelorette party. He stays for a couple drinks and we leave. He got stopped by a cop as left, they run his license, his record is squeaky clean so they give him a warning. They did take his license, and he had already gotten it back. No arrest, no charges. However, the ex found out.

She sends him this condescending, rude email about how he needs to take a drug test in January, asked if he had the kids (both M 14, 15) with him. ( she knew the date of this warning, it was HER night) said she’d take the kids if he wanted to attend an alcoholic rehab program, and basically called him a deadbeat. She threatened to take the kids from him due to his “compromising the safety of their minor children” as if they are toddlers. Again he did not have the kids.

This woman is constantly interjecting herself. Every 5 weeks like clockwork if he hasn’t paid her enough “attention”she sets a bomb off by trying to get more money, insisting the kids needs therapy (to find out the therapist only asked the kids about “what’s it like at dads house.” She’ll leave the country (happened 4 times) and insist she is not obligated to tell him when she’s gone.

He’s starting the process of trying to terminate spousal support as she yet again is attempting to garnish his wages for more money. She makes almost what he makes now. They starting discovery now.

Does anyone else feel like they under their ex’s thumb? Like they are still being controlled? Why won’t these women go away. You got what you wanted, ride off into the sunset.
