In process of getting divorced in NYC. Married 10 years. No kids. No property. Just a dog that we do shared custody with. Ex says it's impossible to find a job (bullshit she's just not looking). Judge granted temporary Maintenance and I have to pay her piece of shit lawyer some money because she cant afford him. We have a bank account that had our savings in it of about 66k. Under NYS law that's half mine but she says she's spent 50k of it since January. That's a violation of the automatic orders and I want something done but my lawyer says we need to get the bank records during discovery phase to prove it. I'm so sick of taking a beating and I feel like this is all just so insane. There's no kids. She refuses to work. Why am I paying her lawyer to help her fuck me over more? Really at the end of my rope.
