Hello,

Wife and I have been together for 9 years, married for 5. We have a 2.5yo son who is so loveable. I work 50-60 hrs a week and she stays home. Doesn't really go out because she's taking care of a toddler all day, and she has her breaks during his nap. We have intimacy maybe 1-2 times a month - she says because her hormones are on and off and unbalanced.

She has to drink or smoke weed to get in the mood. Her body has all kinds of aches and pains and when she's tired, she's so irritable her mood can flip on a dime. She never wants to initiate date nights or ask me to cuddle and watch something with her. She's def not cheating and says she loves me. She makes dinner when I come home for lunch... But she isn't the same person I married. I'm on anti-depressiants because I'm in denial of who she is and that one day she'll get out of mom mode and want my attention.

The only time we can see a marriage counselor is on the weekends over the phone during my son's nap due to my work schedule (based on seniority, sort of stuck until people retire). She won't see a therapist either.

My life isn't horrible with her, I'm just thinking I could be a little too selfish when I want intimacy or just to hug, kiss and cuddle. I think she's always in mom mode and doesn't want to get out of it. Kind of like her mother.

She really hates my dad for no good reason besides, "he says dumb stuff at times." I love my parents.

What should I do? I want to get a divorce because I want to find someone who wants to make an effort to keep my attention, not take it for granted. I want a woman who can handle and balance work, kids and being a loving wife. Should I stick it out?

Please don't say, "DiD YoU TaLk To Her?" I did, not about divorce but yes. Every time I mention something about doing something stated above, she says, "stop pressuring me!"

Please comment and thank you.
